Scrapbooking on Pottery!
Now, you can get as creative with your pottery as scrapbookers do on
their album pages. Use Line Art Designs to add a professional touch to
your pottery, or with Creative Images, turn your family pictures into
ceramic works of art. It takes only two visits, and it’s easy to do.
Line Art Designs are popular graphics and words you can use to enhance and embellish any ceramic project. Apply Line Art decals to your painted pottery after firing, or put the decals on unpainted pottery, have it fired, and do your painting after. Either way, a second firing completes your masterpiece. Individual decals range in price from $1-4, and the second firing fee (depending on pottery size) ranges from $1 to $10.
With Creative Images, never before has the process of adding images to pottery been as customizable and convenient. Any image that can be copied can be used -- photos, graphics, grandmother’s handwritten recipe! Pictures and images with light backgrounds and lots of contrast come out best. Use Creative Images for any occasion: gifts, crafting, home decorating, commemorative projects, fundraisers or special events. Creative Images are perfect for corporate occasions, too: recognition awards, sales meetings, and corporate identity items.
Once your pottery is painted and fired the first time, we’ll copy your photos and artwork onto special Creative Images transfer paper using a specific laser printer. Then you apply the images to your properly prepared ceramic surfaces and we’ll kiln-fired them a second time for a permanent, food safe finish. The image creation process takes a few minutes, applying the image takes just a few minutes more, and the second firing is done in a day or two!
This unique process produces sepia-toned images. You can also add color tints by painting within the image (either before or after the first firing) where you would like the color to show through. One sheet (8.5” x 11”) of Creative Images transfer paper is just $10, or a half a sheet is $5. A second firing fee (depending on pottery size) ranges from $1 to $10. Bring in your images on paper or computer disk, and there’s no additional charge for simply copying them on to the special paper. Additional charges apply only if computer graphics design work is required (resizing, cropping, etc.).

Sundays, and a variety of other hours (mostly some combination of Thursday and Friday afternoons/evenings,
Saturday, and Sunday). Anyone 16 or older is welcome to apply.
